do you homeschool? Im interested in it because Im deeply concerned about the boy-girl gap in education and I know that, unlike in the public and private schools, homeschooled boys actually outperform homeschooled girls on standardized tests. Its also a very american kind of thing which I like.
Is it true that all home-schooled children grow up to be theocratic gun-toting Republicans like the guy who lives across from John Edwards' house?
If so, where do I sign up?

My wife and I homeschool our three daughters. I haven't seen any research into gender differences for homeschoolers, so I'm curious.

Apparently the Edwards are going to try their hand at homeschooling--at least they are going to have a tutor for their two kids so they can travel with them on the campaign trail. I guess they better watch out or their kids could turn out to be gun-toting Americans who are real patriots--that would be a shock and a horror to them, I'm sure.

If this is what PTA meetings can turn into these days, yet another reason to homeschool. Astonishing. Heart-breaking. Violent kids come from violent parents.
Whatever you think of the Edwardses and their campaign, it should be pretty educational for their kids to see how presidents make it (or not) to the White House. I'm assuming the offspring are old enough to understand what's going on.
Homeschooled kids have it good in some ways. They don't have to put up with as much bullshit from other immature primates. On the other hand, they have to hang out with their parents all day...
